Between Montreal & Laval - The Drug Raids lead to 26 arrests.
MONTREAL:
Between Montreal North & the city of St-Hubert, the Montreal police conducted 22 searches of homes and vehicles.
The raids, were part of a larger investigation called "Accalmie". This investigation targets street gangs dealing in drugs.
In all of the Montreal raids 18 people were arrested & 710 grams of cocaine, three ounces of crack and 25 grams of marijuana were seized.
LAVAL:
In Laval, six raids were conducted in the city, as well as one in Lorraine and another in St-Lin.
The target of the raid was a well-organized network of drug traffickers who were selling crack and cocaine in the Chomedey district of Laval. Eight people were arrested, and the majority of them were known to police.
Over 100 officers from different regions of Laval police forces took part in the operation, dubbed Dentelle.
